Incentive Program TIP |

The Transportation Incentive Program (TIP) applies to Department of Navy (DON) employees to help reduce their daily contribution to traffic congestion and air pollution, as well as expand their commuting alternatives. DON members are currently eligible for a financial incentive up to $230.00 per month beginning April 1, 2009 (parking fees are not included). Under this program, you must commute to work by bus, *ferry, or **vanpool.
All new participants must submit an application. Your Point of Contact (POC) at your work site can provide you with the appropriate application forms or you may visit the FMO website, http://www.fmo.navy.mil/services/tip/tip.htm and download such forms. All completed forms should be submitted to your POC for processing.
Once you are registered, you will be issued either a:
TIP Pass - which allows you to ride free on the
Kitsap Transit's services you use, whether a routed bus, Worker/Driver bus, vanpool, Kitsap
Transit Foot Ferry,
or ACCESS service or
Commuter Bonus Vouchers - which can be used towards the purchase of passes from the Washington State Ferries (WSF) or other transit agencies.

*The Kitsap Transit Foot Ferry or WSF (you must either walk on or be a
passenger in an eligible vanpool).
**Vanpools may either be public or private. Private vanpools must be
registered with Kitsap Transit.
