TIGER Grant supporting documents
Project Summary
Element 1: The Washington Green Bus Project will develop, test and produce for purchase by Washington Green Bus Project coalition members, a very light-weight, battery electric or hybrid-electric, 24 foot, low-floor, ACCESS (paratransit) or small-routed bus
Element 2: Establish/install electric charging stations to make the use of Electric Buses (EB) and hybrid-electrics fully functional within the various agencies systems and service plans
Funding
Kitsap Transit has submitted grant applications for ARRA/TIGGER and TIGER funding for this project. The first grant was submitted on May 22, 2009 and another funding opportunity will require an application due September 15, 2009.
