Kitsap Transit Trains King County Employees at Seattle Dock

Kitsap Transit Trains King County Employees Prior to Seattle Dock Transition

Effective Monday, July 8, Kitsap Transit Marine Services Ambassadors at the Seattle dock will begin training King County employees for two weeks on our procedures for queuing and processing Kitsap Fast Ferries customers, including those with reservations.

Once King County opens its passenger-only ferry terminal building at Pier 50, which is anticipated on July 29, King County will handle customer queuing and processing for both Kitsap Fast Ferries and King County Water Taxi.

Kitsap Transit will continue to collect fares from passengers boarding its fast ferries, receive its customers' comments, and operate and maintain its vessels.

Compared to the current temporary facility at Pier 52, the new passenger-only ferry terminal building has a more flexible system for customer queuing and processing for multiple ferry routes. A single operating manager will ensure efficient operations, while maintaining our high standards.

Please note that Kitsap Transit and King County Water Taxi will temporarily shut down ferry service starting Monday, July 22. For details on the one-week service disruption, please see our rider alert by clicking here

We thank you for your patience during this transition.
