NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that sealed bids, will be received by Gayle Thomson, KITSAP TRANSIT, (mail or delivery): 60 Washington Street, Suite 200, Bremerton WA 98337, until 4:00 p.m., October 14, 2008.
The bids shall be identified as follows:

NOTE: The terms “contractor(s)”, “proposer(s)”, and “bidder(s)” are synonymous.
Scope of Work: Kitsap Transit seeks written bids from qualified firms to perform site expansion and renovation for Kitsap Transit’s Charleston Base, located at 200 Charleston Blvd. Bremerton, Washington 98312. The project site is currently, and will continue during construction, to be an operating bus dispatch and maintenance facility. If required, the bidder is welcome to visit the site with specific permission from Glen Mulkey at 360-824-4900, Cell 360-340-1394. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following:
The Owner will provide 5 building permits, one each for Bus Wash building, Fuel and Maintenance building, Operations building, site work and new waste oil tank. Bidders may obtain contract documents in PDF format via mail out CD from Don Laford at URS Corp., 1501 Fourth Ave Suite 1400, Seattle WA 98101 or by email request to Don_Laford@urscorp.com.
Bids must be sealed to be accepted with the Bidder’s contact information on the envelope. All submitted bids shall contain one complete original delivered to the following address:

KITSAP TRANSIT SMALL WORKS ROSTER
In accordance with RCW 39.04.155 and as authorized by Kitsap Transit’s Board of Commissioners, Kitsap Transit has established a Small Works Roster for qualified contractors to provide Construction, Services and Supply projects with an estimated cost of $100,000 or less.
Kitsap Transit accepts applications at any time from qualified contractors who request to be on the list and are properly licensed or registered to perform such work in the State of Washington.
To be placed on the roster Contractors must meet Kitsap Transit's minimum qualifications and complete Kitsap Transit’s Enrollment Application.
Prevailing wages are required on every project and a Statement of Intent to Pay Prevailing Wages must be submitted by Contractor to Kitsap Transit prior to start of work. Costs to file prevailing wage statements with the State of Washington are borne by the Contractor.
