The ORCA retail network is expanding

Starting today, ORCA cards will be available at more retail locations around Kitsap County. You may need to get a new card depending on the retail location at which you reload your ORCA card. Most customers will be able to continue using their existing card.

Do I need a new ORCA card?

Most customers will not need to get a new card. The classic blue and Regional Reduced Fare Permit (RRFP) ORCA cards will still work on transit, at vending machines, online at myORCA.com and with the myORCA app. However, if you reload at Safeway or Albertson’s, you’ll need to buy a new black or Reduced Fare ORCA card. For more info, visit info.myORCA.com/retail.

You can continue to buy and reload the new black ORCA cards with cash at stores, vending machines and customer service locations. The only retail outlets that can reload the classic blue ORCA cards are Fred Meyer and QFC.

Where can I buy or reload my ORCA card?

There are 11 stores in Kitsap County where you can purchase an ORCA card:

  • Albertson’s in Port Orchard
  • Fred Meyer in Port Orchard and Bremerton
  • Safeway in Port Orchard, Bremerton, Silverdale, Poulsbo, Kingston and Bainbridge Island
  • QFC in Belfair

SAAR’s Super Saver Foods and the Food Market at Kingston no longer participate in the ORCA program.
