Notable Changes

The new Route 265 will operate on a bi-directional loop through Silverdale and connect with other services at the new Silverdale Transit Center. Operates on weekdays and Saturdays.  

• Route 265 absorbs part of Routes 235 and 237
• Buses will travel both directions on the loop: Passengers can catch a bus every half-hour from stops across the street from each other, or every hour from stops on the same side of the street.
• On weekdays, Route 265 will operate from 8:30 AM to 7:20 PM.
• On Saturday, service will operate from 8:30 AM to 6:55 PM.
• There will no longer be service along Tracyton Boulevard and Fairgrounds Road west of Nels Nelson Road. Route 301 will now serve Nels Nelson Road and Bucklin Hill Road between Myhre Road and Nels Nelson Road.

The new Route 266 will operate between the new Silverdale Transit Center, St. Michael Medical Center and The Trails Shopping Center on Greaves Way. Operates on weekdays and Saturdays.  

• Route 266 absorbs parts of Routes 223 and 332, covering Ridgetop Boulevard west of Highway 305, Kitsap Mall Boulevard and bus stops at the intersection of Kitsap Mall Boulevard and Plaza Road.
• Service will operate every 30 minutes.
• On weekdays, Route 266 will operate from 7:00 AM to 7:25 PM.
• On Saturday, service will operate from 9:00 AM to 6:55 PM.

New Route 331 will operate between the Silverdale Transit Center and North Viking Transit Center along Ridgetop Boulevard, Myhre Road, Silverdale Way and Viking Avenue.  

• On weekdays, Route 331 will operate every hour from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
• On Saturdays, Route 331 will operate every hour from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

In the originally proposed changes, Route 332 would have followed the new Route 331’s pattern and would have been renamed Route 332–Poulsbo/Myhre. 

Proposed Changes – April 26, 2024

Route 332 will serve the new Silverdale Transit Center on Ridgetop Boulevard. The route will maintain service on Ridgetop Boulevard, as the public strongly opposed removing service from Ridgetop in comments our planners received.

• On weekdays, Route 332 will operate every hour from 6:00 AM to 8:20 PM.
• On Saturdays, Route 332 will operate every hour from 8:00 AM to 7:50 PM.
• On Sundays, Route 332 will operate every hour from 8:30 AM to 4:20 PM.
• One late-night round trip will be added to weekday and Saturday service on Route 332.

Route 332 will no longer serve Ridgetop Boulevard north of Highway 303. No alternative service will be available along this portion of Ridgetop Boulevard.

From the new Silverdale Transit Center, Route 332 will travel Ridgetop Boulevard southwest of Highway 303, Myhre Road, Silverdale Way and Viking Avenue to the North Viking Transit Center.

• Route 332 will operate every half-hour.

Route 333 will continue to operate between Silverdale and the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal along Ridgetop Boulevard. The route will serve the new Silverdale Transit Center on Ridgetop Boulevard.

Proposed Changes – April 26, 2024

Route 338–Gateway/Bainbridge Express will not resume service in June 2024. Instead, Kitsap Transit will continue operating Route 333–Silverdale/Bainbridge, which will serve the new Silverdale Transit Center, Gateway Fellowship Park & Ride, Highway 305 and the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal. Additionally, Routes 331–Poulsbo/Myhre and 332–Poulsbo/Silverdale will offer service between the new Silverdale Transit Center and the North Viking Transit Center.

On weekdays, Route 338 will operate during commute hours only. Buses will operate as an express service from 4:40 - 7:35 AM and 3:45 - 8:34 PM, serving only four stops.

• Route 338 will replace the portion of Route 333, traveling between the Gateway Fellowship Park & Ride and the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal. For service between the Silverdale Transit Center and the North Viking Transit Center see Routes 301 and 332. 
• In addition to the three timed stops at Gateway Fellowship Park & Ride, the Clearwater Casino and the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal. Route 338 will stop on Highway 305 at the intersection of High School Road on Bainbridge Island.
