In June 2024, Kitsap Transit will significantly change its fixed-route structure to accommodate the new Silverdale Transit Center opening on Ridgetop Boulevard near St. Michael’s Medical Center. The current Silverdale Transit Center below The Trails shopping center will be permanently closed. A new route will serve The Trails using different stops.
Changes include adding two new local Silverdale routes and one new route between Silverdale and Poulsbo, increasing hours and frequency on some routes, redrawing route patterns to serve the new transit center, adding and moving some bus stops and removing two routes. Service will remain on Ridgetop Boulevard.
Routes 212, 217, 223, 301, 331, 332 and 333 will travel to the new transit center. Routes 235 and 237 will be removed. New Routes 265 and 266 – plus Routes 223, 301 and new Route 331 – will cover these areas. Routes 265 and 266 will operate extended hours every half-hour.
In addition, other routes will be modified as part of our June service change:
- Routes 95, 97, 98, 219, 220, 228, 229, 344 and 390 will have adjusted timepoints for better connections.
- Route 221 will no longer serve Kitsap Mental Health Services on Almira Drive or streets north of Riddell Road. Route 223 will serve Kitsap Mental Health Services and Almira Drive north of Riddell Road and Fuson Road.
- Starting on May 4, 2024, Fast Ferry Summer Service will resume and Routes 86 and 307 will operate Saturday service.
- Starting on June 16, 2024, Sunday bus service for Port Orchard, Poulsbo and Silverdale will begin: Route 8 will operate Sundays from 8:00 AM to 4:25 PM. Route 332 will operate from 8:30 AM to 4:20 PM. On-Demand Service will operate in specific service areas from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with timed stops. Visit our Sunday Bus Service page for full details.
