Bus Service During Canceled Southworth Ferry Sailings

Kitsap County commuters have several options to travel between Southworth and downtown Seattle while all Southworth Fast Ferry sailings are canceled.

Passengers can use the following services:

Kitsap Transit passholders can obtain a voucher to ride WSF by checking in with the agent at the Seattle passenger-only ferry dock. WSF does not collect passenger fare on sailings to Seattle.

  • Bremerton Fast Ferry from Seattle (Pier 54) to Bremerton

Seats on Kitsap Transit's ferries are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis and are not guaranteed.

Customers can travel between Port Orchard and Bremerton with 15 minute crossings.

Passengers should note there may be only a few minutes between arriving and departures of connecting bus and ferry services.

Kitsap Transit will not collect fare for Southworth Fast Ferry Riders who require alternative bus transportation to the Port Orchard Ferry Dock via Route 86 while Southworth Ferries are canceled. Passengers should let their bus operator know they are a Southworth Fast Ferry rider to ride free and to also ask for a paper transfer to the Local Foot Ferry so they do not have to pay fare to board the Local Foot Ferry.

Customers can also ride King County Water Taxi between Downtown Seattle and Vashon Island. Passengers should hey will transfer to WSF between Vashon Island and Southworth.

Route 184–Harper Shuttle will continue to operate as normal.

We apologize for any inconvenience and are working hard to restore Southworth Fast Ferry service as soon as possible.
