Kingston Ride

What is Kingston Ride?

Kingston Ride is a shared-ride service that operates within the indicated service area by rider request only.  There are no scheduled arrival or departure times from any specific location. Rides must begin and/or end inside the service area. Your trip may be grouped with other Kingston Ride or ACCESS service trips to the same or nearby destinations.

Where can I go?

Catch the bus to work, shopping, lunch or to visit friends. Travel inside the service area or meet a bus to connect to Suquamish, Indianola, Bainbridge Island and beyond. Kingston Ride will also provide service to the Kingston-Edmonds ferry for those passengers needing transportation across the Sound. The service area encompasses Kingston's commercial center and extends along Highway 104 as far west as Gamblewood and Little Boston, north along Hansville Rd NE, south along Miller Bay Rd to NE West Kingston Rd, and down to Jefferson Point. Also included is a direct route to The Point Casino.

Call or click to schedule a ride and the bus will take you to your destination. Riders can schedule to be dropped off or picked up at George's Corner Park & Ride to make connections with the #91 Kingston / Bainbridge bus or dropped off or picked up at Kountry Korners to make connections with the #92 Kingston / Suquamish bus. The bus will also take passengers directly to the Kingston-Edmonds Ferry to make connections with the Washington State Ferry service to Edmonds.

The bus will pick you up at the intersection nearest to your requested pick-up location. Vehicles will not travel down driveways or dead-end streets.

Call or click to schedule a ride!

Simply call or click during the service hours to schedule a ride. Your travel time will depend on where you are being picked-up and dropped-off and how many other rides have been requested at the same time, but your trip is normally complete within an hour of your ride request.

  • Use your smart phone or tablet.  Download the TapRide app from Google Play for Android or the iTunes Store for iPhone.  Select the 'Kitsap' application and register your number.  Click on the map or enter an address to select where you would like to be picked up and dropped off.  The driver will respond with an estimated pick up time. Due to a driver shortage, the TapRide app will periodically be suspended.
  • Call.  Call 1-844-475-7433 to schedule a ride now or to schedule in advance. Reservation lines are open from 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday. If you wish to travel at the time you make the call, the dispatcher will arrange the ride and give you an estimated pick-up time. You can also call to schedule a ride up to seven days in advance.

Who can ride?

Kingston Ride is open to anyone but is not designed to accommodate group trips. If you are making a reservation for more than one person, please notify the reservationist when you call or indicate the total number of passengers on TapRide. Kitsap Transit will try its best to meet all requested trips but cannot guarantee seating for groups.
