Where Can I Go

Catch the bus to work, shopping, lunch or to visit friends. The service area includes McCormick Woods, Sunnyslope, Bremerton National Airport and the Olympic View Industrial Center. The bus will pick you up at the intersection nearest to your requested pick-up location. Vehicles will not travel down driveways or dead-end streets. 

Connections

SK Ride can connect you with these transit options during service hours:

• Route 104–Tremont at Harrison Port Orchard or Old Clifton Road
• Route 105–Sidney at Safeway on Sedgwick Road or at Cedar Heights Jr. High
• Route 108–Bethel at Fred Meyer
• Bremerton Airporter at Sedgwick 76 Station
• Port Orchard Foot Ferry, with SK Ride Express. 
• Purdy Ride offers additional service in South Kitsap between the Port Orchard Ferry Terminal and the Purdy Park & Ride during peak commute hours.

Stops

Stops are made only within the service area and all rides must start and/or end inside the service area. The bus will also serve Port Orchard Harrison, the Youth Services Center on Old Clifton Road, the Safeway on Sedgwick, Cedar Heights Jr. High, Fred Meyer and the 76 Station on Sedgwick. 

Snow Route

SK Ride will travel a modified service area when Snow and Extreme Weather events are activated unless service has been canceled or altered to Emergency Service. See Snow & Extreme Weather Service Area Map to the right.

Call to Schedule a Ride

Call 1.844.475.7433 . Reservation lines are open from 5:00 AM to 6:10 PM, seven days a week. Depending on call volume, you may have to wait to speak to a representative. 

Individual trips may be grouped with other SK Ride or ACCESS service trips to the same or nearby destinations. For trips with no specific time constraints, riders may be asked to adjust their desired trip time to coordinate with other scheduled trips in their area.

Who can ride?

SK Ride is open to anyone but isn’t designed for large groups. You can request a ride for up to six (6) passengers at a time. If you are making a reservation by phone, please notify the reservationist of the total number of passengers. Kitsap Transit will try its best to meet all requested trips but cannot guarantee seating for groups.

SK Ride Express to Port Orchard Ferry (pilot service)

SK Ride Express operates scheduled trips every 30 minutes between the McCormick Woods and McCormick Village areas and the Port Orchard Foot Ferry. SK Ride Express trips cannot be booked with the Ride Pingo App and operate separately from SK Ride On-Demand. See schedules below for pick-up and drop-off locations. SK Ride Express will not deviate from its route and will serve only the four stops listed below. 

If you live more than ½ mile from the stops listed below, you can book an on-demand trip through SK Ride during regular service hours to connect to a stop. SK Ride does not serve the Port Orchard Ferry Dock.

Please Note: Passengers boarding at McCormick Woods Drive and Old Clifton Road, or at Murrelet Drive and Old Clifton Road, must flag down the bus at a safe roadside location.

• Adult Fare (one-way): $2.00
• Reduced Fare (one-way): $1.00
  • To qualify for a reduced fare, customers must show a valid Medicare Card or a Regional Reduced Fare Permit (RRFP).
• FREE: Anyone aged 18 and under can ride Kitsap Transit services free of charge.

• Visa, Mastercard, Discover Network, or American Express credit or debit card with contactless payment symbol, or smart device with a saved payment card in your digital wallet

• OC Bus Pass
• Ride Pingo app (credit card)
• Transit GO Ticket app (credit card). Buy a Day Pass for $5 and ride SK Ride and Routed buses all day.
• Regional Reduced Fare Permit
• Kitsap Transit monthly pass or Regional Puget Passes

Notes

• Riders cannot pay for multiple riders or groups with a single card or device. Group ticket options available with the Ride Pingo and Transit GO Ticket apps. 
• Remove card from wallet before tapping. Riders who Tap to Pay using a credit or debit card will be charged a full Adult fare.
