Service Times

Weekdays: Pick-ups will begin at 5:30 AM.  The last pick-up will be made at 6:10 PM.
Saturdays: Suspended Until Further Notice

SK Ride can connect you with these transit options during service hours:

  • Route 4–Tremont at Harrison Port Orchard or Old Clifton Road
  • Route 5–Sidney at Safeway on Sedgwick Road or at Cedar Heights Jr. High
  • Route 8–Bethel at Fred Meyer
  • Bremerton Airporter at Sedgwick 76 Station
  • SK Ride will also make direct trips to the Port Orchard Foot Ferry before 8:00 AM weekdays only
  • Purdy Ride offers additional service in South Kitsap between the Port Orchard Ferry Terminal and the Purdy Park & Ride during peak commute hours.

Stops

Stops are made only within the service area and all rides must start and/or end inside the service area.  The bus will also serve Port Orchard Harrison, the Youth Services Center on Old Clifton Road, the Safeway on Sedgwick, Cedar Heights Jr. High, Fred Meyer and the 76 Station on Sedgwick.  The bus will also make direct trips from the service area to the Kitsap Transit Foot Ferry before 8:00 AM weekdays.

What is SK Ride?

SK Ride is a shared-ride service that operates within the indicated service area by rider request only. Rides must begin and/or end inside the service area. Your trip may be grouped with other SK Ride or ACCESS service trips to the same or nearby destinations.

Where can I go?

Catch the bus to work, shopping, lunch or to visit friends.  Travel inside the service area or meet a bus in Port Orchard to connect to Bremerton and beyond. The service area includes McCormick Woods, Sunnyslope, Bremerton National Airport and the Olympic View Industrial Center.  Call or click to schedule a ride and the bus will take you to your destination.  Riders can also schedule to be dropped-off or picked-up at Port Orchard Harrison or at Youth Services on Old Clifton to make connections with the Route 4–Tremont bus, at the Safeway on Sedgwick or at Cedar Heights Jr. High to connect with the Route 5–Sidney bus or at Fred Meyer to connect with the Route 8–Bethel bus.  The bus will also take passengers direct to the Kitsap Transit Foot Ferry before 8:00 AM on weekdays and will meet the Bremerton Airporter at the 76 Station on Sedgwick Road.

The bus will pick you up at the intersection nearest to your requested pick-up location.  Vehicles will not travel down driveways or dead-end streets. 

How to Ride

Call or click to schedule a ride!

Call during service hours or use the app to schedule a ride. Your travel time will depend on where you are picked-up and dropped-off and how many other rides have been requested at the same time.  Trips are normally completed within an hour of your ride request.

  • Use your smartphone or tablet.  Download the Rides on Demand app by TripSpark from Google Play (for Android) or the iTunes Store (for iPhone). Create a profile and schedule a ride now or up to seven days in advance. The app will display an estimated pick-up time. 
     
  • Call.  Call 1-844-475-7433 to schedule a ride now or in advance. Reservation lines are open from 5:00 AM to 6:10 PM Monday through Friday. If you wish to travel at the time you make the call, the dispatcher will arrange the ride and give you an estimated pick-up time. You can also call to schedule a ride up to seven days in advance.

Who can ride?

SK Ride is open to anyone, but is not designed to accommodate large groups. If you are making a reservation by phone, please notify the reservationist of the total number of passengers. Kitsap Transit will try its best to meet all requested trips but cannot guarantee seating for groups.

The cash fare to ride is $2.00.  ORCA cards are accepted on SK Ride service. Visit our fares page for more details.
